Ghana midfielder Nana Opoku Ampomah scored for Waasland-Beveren who made the most of court by claiming a 2-1 victory over Lokeren in the Belgium Jupiler League on Saturday night.
Ampomah headed home from close range to give Beveren a deserved lead in the 26th minute.
The lead was doubled in the second half courtesy a goal from the spot by Francesco Forte before Lokeren grabbed a consolation with 20 minutes to go.
The win takes Waasland to 13th ahead of their final game of the year against Anderlecht on Thursday.
The 22-year-old has been red-hot this season in the Belgium Jupiler League.
His goal last night was his sixth in 17 appearances for Beveren.
