Former Black Stars midfielder Sulley Muntari played his first match for Spanish second-tier side Albacete on Saturday as his side lost 1-0 at Gimnastic.
Muntari was introduced in the 84th minute to replace Mickael Malsa.
The 34-year-old passed the fitness test two weeks ago but was an unused substitute when he first made the matchday squad.
Muntari is now set to play more games before the end of the season with Albacete chasing an automatic promotion ticket.
Yesterday's defeat saw them slip to third; four points behind leaders Osasuna who will play today (Sunday).
