De-Eye group sues Manasseh over militia tag

The controversial group which was reportedly holding meetings and training sessions at the Osu Castle – De Eye group – has sued investigative journalist Manasseh Azure over his latest investigative piece on them

The group, among other things, is asking the court to restrain Multimedia and Manasseh from refering to them as a militia group.

According to him, the documentary is nothing but “disingenuous and deliberate attempts to cast President Akufo-Addo in a negative light vis-à-vis the fight against vigilantism.

The investigative piece titled ‘Militia in the heart of the nation’ alleged a state-sponsored training of military persons at the behest of the president, Nana Akufo-Addo.
