  To be honest Dr Nkrumah truly believed that the independence signified the beginning of the end of suffering for Ghanaian and he advised them not to go back to sleep and that no normal human will easily relinquish a rich colony such as the then Gold Coast but that was what exactly the people did sleep, and it seems they are still sleeping
