Manchester United is set to extend the contract of Dutch-born Ghanaian footballer Timothy Fosu Mensah until 2021.
The 22-year old had some few months remaining on his current contract but Ole Gunner Solskjaer will like to keep the young defender at Old Trafford for one more season.
The Dutchman suffered a serious knee problem last April during his loan spell with Fulham.
Fosu-Mensah recently recovered from a crucial ligament injury which had ruled him out of the most part of the season.
He began training with the first-team squad again in February.
Fosu-Mensah has only made one appearance for the U-23 side this season.
