Head coach of Asante Kotoko Maxwell Konadu has urged Ghana midfielder Thomas Partey to leave Atletico Madrid when the transfer window opens.
Arsenal have been heavily linked with a move for Partey, who is currently locked in contract negotiations with Atletico Madrid.
The Rojiblancos are keen to increase his release clause, currently set at £42 million, a fee that Arsenal are said to be prepared to match to bolster Mikel Arteta's squad.
Meanwhile, former England and Manchester United ace Rio Ferdinand called on his former side to beat the Gunners in the pursuit of the Ghana international.
On Tuesday, Saddick Adams, who is a sports journalist in Ghana, indicated that a close to the Partey's camp has informed him that the player does not want to extend his contract with Diego Simeone's side and is favouring a move to the English Premiership.
He stated that the midfielder has his heart set on a switch to Old Trafford rather than the Emirates.
And former deputy coach of the Ghana Black Stars, Maxwell Konadu has charged the midfielder to make the move this summer.
