Ghanaian forward Kwame Kizito is set to be out for 8 to 12 after suffering from an anterior cruciate ligament injury on his Falkenberg FF debut.
The new Falkenberg attacker tore his cruciate ligament in the 69th minute and had to be replaced by Nsima Peter. The former Hearts of Oak forward was playing against his former club BK Hacken.
Kizito had a successful scan, but unfortunately MR images showed that the 23-year-old has suffered both a cross-band and meniscus injury.
He is expected to be out for a long time.
"He injured the front cruciate ligament and meniscus on the outside of the knee. Now surgery is first awaited and then rehabilitation for eight to twelve months. Unfortunately, Kwame Kizito misses the rest of the season. He is sad and does not want to speak in the media," says FFF's team doctor Sverker Nilsson.
The lanky attacker had joined Falkenberg from BKHacken during the winter transfer window, and was expected to play a key role for his club this season.
