Abdul Fatawu hails Akonnor for impressive form

Kumasi Asante Kotoko attacker Abdul Fatawu Safiu has attributed his fine form to coach CK Akonnor.

Fatawu who has netted nine goals so far in the ongoing NC Special Competition emphasized that the Kotoko head coach always demands a lot from him and urges him to go the extra mile.

“My coach CK has been very instrumental to my rise in form, he always wants the best from me and pushes me to go the extra mile. Sometimes we have misunderstandings but he still believes in my quality and always make sure I do more.” Fatawu told the Press on Sunday.

“Even sometimes when I feel I have done well, he will tell me I have done nothing because he knows I can do better. He has been of great help and inspiration to me.”

Fatawu netted on Sunday as Kotoko beat Hearts on penalties to win the NC Special Competition semi finals game.
