Ghana midfielder Alfred Duncan is set to stay at Sassuolo for the upcoming season despite his desire to depart the club.
The defensive enforcer has on countless occasions expressed his desire to end his xx-year with the Neroverdi after attracting interest from a host of top Serie A clubs
But according to reports in Italy, Sassuolo are reluctant to release their prized asset following their inability to find an adequate replacement in the ongoing window.
Duncan, who has 2 years left on his contract, was a key cog for Sassuolo last term, making 26 league appearances for the side.
Sassuolo will begin their 2018/2019 league campaign against Duncan’s former side Inter Milan on August 19.
