Midfielder Isaac Cofie played his first match for Sporting Gijon on Saturday as the Spanish Segunda Division got underway.
Cofie lasted the entire duration in the 1-1 draw at Alcorcon.
He was playing in a different league for the first time since travelling abroad in 2008 and joined Genoa.

The 27-year-old joined the Spanish second-tier side on a free transfer after leaving Italian side Genoa.
