Las Vegas - Cornelius Lock captured the vacant International Boxing Association's continental junior featherweight title with an 11th-round technical decision over Alexander Baba of Ghana on Friday.

Lock (14-2-1, 10 knockouts) won when the referee halted the bout at the Orleans Hotel and Casino because of a cut over the right eye of Baba.

The cut was as the result of an accidental head-butt in the third round.

The cut worsened to the point where Baba couldn't continue.

The 26-year-old Lock was leading 109-100 on one judge's score card, and 108-101 on the other two judges' cards when the bout was halted.

There were no knockdowns.

The 34-year-old Baba has a record of 21-7 with 16 knockouts.
