Anthony Annan is unlikely to remain with Osasuna when his loan deal expires this summer, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.
The Ghana international joined the Spanish side at the beginning of the season on a season’s-long-loan-deal from German giants Schalke 04.
Persistent injuries and fitness problems has however restricted the 26-year-old’s first team appearances to just six this season.
Annan has also not played for Los Rojillos since December 11 – during which time he was away for almost six weeks on international duty with Ghana for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.
A protracted issue over his visa requirements further delayed his return to Pamplona after the Nations Cup in South Africa.
The ex-Hearts of Oak player is currently out injured again – further frustrating manager Jose Luis Mendilibar who is an ardent admirer of the defensive midfielder.
There is however very little facts available to support a decision to keep Annan when the loan deal expires on June 30.
He is therefore expected to revert to Schalke 04 at the end of the current campaign.
