Asamoah Gyan mobbed at Kwaku Oteng's mother funeral

The funeral of the late Obaapanin Cecilia Mensah became the fulcrum of focus on Saturday as all media houses under the Angel Broadcasting Network took the whole funeral live on air.

The ceremony brought together several politicians including the President of the Republic of Ghana Akufo Addo and his Vice Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, celebrities and business moguls to mourn with Dr. Kwaku Oteng, the CEO of Angel Group of Companies on the final funeral rites of his mother.

Asamoah Gyan who happens to be one of the celebrities who attended the funeral rite was mobbed by his fans at the grouds: some of them tried to take pictures with him in the mix of the crowd and created human traffic at the funeral grounds.

The ex-Sunderland striker was overwhelmed by the love shown to him by a section of Ghanaian sports-loving fans at the funeral of Dr. Kwaku Oteng’s mother.

Asamoah Gyan who currently plies his trade in India for NorthEast United has recovered from an injury he suffered an injury at the latter part of the Indian season and he is looking forward to the start of next season.

The 35-year-old who is the all-time top scorer for Ghana with 51 goals in an interview with Pulse Ghana has said that he is still available for a Black Stars.

Gyan has represented Ghana in three FIFA World Cup and seven Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
