Kumasi Asante Kotoko’s desire to beef up their squad with additional players seems to have hit the rocks.
The Porcupine Warriors are said to be cash-strapped, an unfortunate development which is affecting the club’s purchasing power.
If the situation persists in the coming weeks, Kotoko’s recruitment exercise would suffer greatly, it was gathered.
Kotoko are said to have verbally agreed on a deal with three quality players whose inclusion would make the team winsome, this season.
The exception players who are said to be willing to wear the Kotoko jersey include Ahmed Toure, Mark Sekyere and Godfred Sakka.
Close sources disclosed that Kotoko, currently, do not have the financial wherewithal to buy the three players.
The depressing situation is said to be causing nightmarish moments for the Porcupine Warriors.
Kotoko management, led by Opoku Nti, has been scratching its head with regard to where to get money, reports suggest.
