Sports kits retailers Ashlid Enterprise on Tuesday donated sports equipment to Ghana Premier League giants Accra Hearts of Oak.
Led by the CEO Frederick Aglago, Ashlid Enterprise donated ten branded footballs to oldest club in the country ahead of their 108 anniversary celebration.
The items also included football bags and ten cartons of bottled water.
According to the CEO, the gesture is to foster a good relationship between his outfit and the Rainbow Family for a mutual beneficial relationship.
“Hearts of Oak is one of the biggest clubs in Ghana and we are happy to be establishing this relationship,” Aglago said after the donation.
“We have been providing balls for almost all the clubs in Ghana but for Hearts and Kotoko. But we think it is time for them to use some of our branded balls so we can have a business relationship in the future,” he added.
Hearts CEO Frederick Moore addressing the media after the donation
On their part, CEO of Accra Hearts of Oak, Frederick Moore expressed gratitude at the gesture and called on corporate Ghana to emulate Ashlid Entrerpise.
“It has always been the other way round as we have always been giving. So it is welcoming to see institutions like Ashlid Entreprise also giving to us. We are very grateful,” Moore noted.
A similar gesture was done for Asante Kotoko a week ago in Kumasi.
