Ghana midfielder superstar Andre Ayew will wear his favourite No. 10 at Swansea City after completing the deal to play for the English Premier League side on Wednesday.
The 25-year-old signed the contract with the Swans after several days of deep negotiations.
The biggest news on top of his deal is the fact that he will wear his favourite jersey number as he seeks to carve a niche for himself in the world’s most popular league.
Ayew, who attracted interest from a number of Premier League and big European clubs, has signed a four-year deal at the Liberty after seeing his contract expire at the French club.
The 25-year-old’s contract with Marseille expired in June. He scored 52 goals in 181 appearances for the French club after joining them in 2006.
Swansea needed to bolster their attacking options having lost Wilfried Bony to Manchester City in January.
His short-term replacement, Nelson Oliveira, has returned to Benfica following his loan spell at the Welsh club.
