Big boost for Ghana Sports

- Canada based Ghanaian pledges

Ghana Sports will soon enjoy the support of Canadian and American investors who want the great sports nation of be abreast with the world in terms of sports facilities and motivation. Mr. Emmanuel Quaye, a Ghanaian-Canadian who met Mr. Erasmus Adorkor, Chief Sports Development Officer of the National Sports Authority said Ghana abounds in massive sports talents and so there is the need to support them with equipment and facilities to train.

He promised to bring down some investors who would be interested in constructing multi-purpose sports courts all over the country.

Douglas Tagoe and Moses Cofie, both Ghanaian football coaches who accompanied Mr. Quaye hinted that there are potentials in Ghana who can be world champions when offered the opportunity. Mr. Quaye was one time Vice Chairman of the Greater Accra Boxing Association that groomed top boxers like Bukom Banku, Bukom Tsatsu and others into the limelight.

The team who were introduced by Mr. R.O. Lamptey of the NSA said they are so much in love with the development and promotion of sports in Ghana, especially the least financed sports disciplines. He urged them to support the new sports like rowing.
