The national team of Ghana, the Black Stars, made yesterday (13/01) a donation of food to the orphanage “Comunidade das Irmãs Predilectas de Jesus” in Cabinda, where circa 150 children and teenagers are currently living.
Among goods donated, there 20 bags of rice, five of sugar, ten bottles of vegetable oil, 20 packs of soda, five boxes of juice and seven of canned food.
According to the captain, Richard Kingson, this gesture aims to diminish the needs these children face and also express the gratitude of the Ghanaians towards the hospitality given to them.
“Every time we travel to an African country, we seek to show our solidarity with people in need. The message we left these children is that they must know they’re not alone. There are lots of people abroad who care about them”, Richard Kingson also said.
