Boateng will leave Barcelona at the end of the season
Kevin Prince Boateng failed to impress as Barça suffered a 2-0 defeat to Celta Vigo in La Liga on Saturday evening.
Maxi Gomez opened the scoring for Celta after they had a goal ruled out by the video assistant referee (VAR).
VAR later awarded Celta a penalty and Iago Aspas converted from the spot.
Ernesto Valverde had opted to leave several of his big names back in Catalonia, and there was an unfamiliar look to the side that took to the field, with Boateng leading the attack.
The Ghanaian failed to register a single shot and was lacking in ideas throughout the entire game.
Anytime he steps on the pitch in Blaugrana colors, the more he looks increasingly incomprehensible an unnecessary transfer.
In truth, he never looked like a Barca player since his arrival on loan from Sassuolo during the January transfer window.
