Kevin-Prince Boateng is set to undergo a medical at FC Barcelona on Tuesday according to reports in Italy and Spain.
Sky Sport Italia on Tuesday afternoon confirmed that the Ghanaian is on the verge of joining the Spanish giants.
Barcelona have agreed a deal to sign Sassuolo forward Kevin-Prince Boateng on a six-month loan deal with an €8 million option to buy.
The former Tottenham Hotspurs star only joined US Sassuolo from Eintracht Frankfurt last summer and has gone on to score five goals in 15 appearances.
He already has experience of Spanish football with Las Palmas, where he netted 10 times across 28 games in La Liga.
Boateng has made two FIFA World Cup appearances - 2010 and 2014 - for the senior national team of Ghana.
