NYCFC have announced the signing of Ghanaian midfielder Ebenezer Ofori on loan from German Bundesliga side VfB Stuttgart.
This is the second time the MLS side have acquired the services of the versatile Ofori on loan and they now have an option to make the deal permanent at the end of the 2019 season.
The Black Stars player made 27 appearances last season for New York City FC in the MLS scoring one goal as they finished 3rd in the Eastern Conference.
Ofori, 23, could not hide his excitement after securing the loan deal and promised to offer his best.
“I’m super excited to come back to New York City FC for another season,” Ofori said in a media release. “I felt very at home last year playing for a club that I respect very highly. I cannot wait to do my best for the club this coming season.”
He has previously featured for Ghanaian side New Edubiase and Swedish champions AIK.
