Caleb Ekuban’s agent has confirmed the Ghanaian striker will leave Leeds United this summer to join Turkish SuperLig side Trabzonspor on a permanent basis.
The 25-year-old striker has been in excellent form since leaving Leeds on a season-long loan last summer. He managed to find the back of the net only twice in 22 appearances during 2017-18.
But this time around, Ekuban has shown confidence, versatility and now, international pedigree. Playing out wide, up front and in the 10 role, he has scored eight goals and created three more this season.
His excellent form has even seen him called up to the Ghana national side, where he cemented his place in the team with two goals in his first two caps against Kenya and Mauritiana.
Ekuban’s agent Graziano Battistini has told TuttoMercatoWeb that Ekuban will leave this summer: “He has important potential and he is demonstrating it. Trabzonspor will buy the striker from Leeds.”
Ekuban has a permanent clause in the loan deal worth just £900,000.
