Fred Crenstil, Chairman of the Management Committee of the National Under-17, team the Black Starlets, has said the head coach of the team has not been paid monthly salaries for the past nine months.

He said the coach, Paa Kwesi Fabin was also owed allowances and bonuses over the last nine months, despite qualifying the team for the 2015 Africa Under-17 Youth Championships in Niger.

He told the Justice Senyo Dzamefe Presidential Commission of Inquiry, on Monday, that members of the technical team are owed other allowances and bonuses as well.

According to him, the state was supposed to pay the coaches, but efforts to facilitate that has not been successful.

On age-cheating, Mr. Crenstil, said there was mass age-cheating at the colts football competitions and that had hampered the efforts of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) in selecting the players with the right ages for the juvenile teams.

“My Lord, players come along with their documents to prove that they were indeed 17 or below but ended up being over age.”

He said, the GFA had over the years spent huge sums of money in conducting Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) on players selected for the National Under-17 team, the Black Starlets.
