Ghana international Emmanuel Boateng condemned Malaga to Spanish second-tier football with a late strike as his Levante side defeated the former UEFA Champions League quarterfinalist by a lone goal.
Boateng scored the winner in the 93rd minute at the Ciutat de València to officially send José González’s side to the La Liga 2 Division.
The win for Levante has also widened the gap between them and Deportivo who are the first team on the drop zone by seven points.
The former Moreirense attacker has scored two La Liga goals this season with the first one coming against Real Madrid.
