An astute sports journalist who is also a legal practitioner has advised the Sports Ministry to stand firm in ensuring Black Stars head coach Avram Grant is strictly handled since his employers [GFA] have failed to do so.

According to Moses Foh Amoaning, Grant’s ‘unacceptable behaviour exhibited recently clearly shows the GFA has lost control of the former Chelsea manager.

He argues if the FA had been very strict on the 2015 AFCON finalist, he wouldn’t have taken a whole country like Ghana for granted.

His comment comes after Avram Grant snubbed the 2017 African Nations Cup draw in Libreville, Gabon, for a punditry job on SkySports.

"Avram Grant is a shameless person. What annoys me most is that he said nobody could control him. Instead of him to go to the AFCON draw, he decided to go to Skysports."

Speaking to Kofi Larbi on Abusua FM’s Sports Arena, the astute legal practitioner said Avram Grant has already stated the FA can’t control him hence his disrespectful attitude towards his paymasters.

Before he left for the Skysports program, he said nobody can control him. ‘‘He stupidly said even Abramovic the billionaire and the owner of Chelsea couldn’t control him. This shows how little minded he is”.

You are talking about Abramovic when you are dealing with a whole country.

I blame the FA for Avram Grant's behaviour. How can they leave this man to misbehave like that?" Mr Foh Amoaning angrily asked.

I think the ministry should come in when the FA cannot control this man.

You cannot be paid 50,000 dollars with taxpayers’ money and be talking rubbish. I think he has another contract that he is pursuing that’s why he is behaving like that and is a fundamental breach of the contract he has with Ghana. Avram Grant has taken Ghanaians as fools.

The FA and the ministry can write to Skysports and find out whether they have a contract with Avram Grant or not. Ghana can sue Skysports for encouraging someone to breach his contract, and it is an actionable thought.

”I will see the FA President Kwesi Nyantakyi personally to discuss this with him. This is where the minister has to sit up. Avram Grant has to come and explain to Ghanaians why he chose to go to Skysports instead of AFCON draw and sue him for damages and report to FIFA for his conduct”.
