The only change we need is in the gfa. They have hired incompetent coaches for far too long. They lack ideas. I won't be surprised if they go back and recall kwesi appiah and claim that the public asked for it. Ghana is in a big mess with the kind of leaders we have and the mentality that the citizens have. When a people have incapacitated themselves economically, militarily, governance-wise or if you like in every area of human endeavour through bad leadership, through corruption and unpatriotism over several decades that is exactly what happens to them. With all due respect, to the outside world, we are a people without honour. I lay the blame squarely at the door step of our leaders (past and present leaders) and the citizenry at large. In all honesty, when we talk of sovereignty, no sub-Saharan African country comes to mind, especually sub-Saharan West African countries. Now our leaders might be thinking of the diplomatic, economic and military connotations of any possible action that should be taken against the Israeli manager, Avram Grant. Why? Because we are not an economic power house, our existence as a nation is apparently hinged, if not entirely hinged on foreign aid and Bretton Wood institutions ' hand outs, loans and grants; Our leaders might not want to step on the toes of an economic powerhouse with so much military might such as Israel by sanctioning Avram Grant. That is how vulnerable we are as a people. Until we get sick and tired of this as a people and work with concerted effort to build a robust economy devoid of corruption that can withstand external shocks in order to command respect on the global stage, any foreigner at all can treat us with so much disdain. How can you be respected as a sovereign nation, when your existence is apparently pretty much dependent on the whims and caprices of external forces?

On the contrary, hatred for a Coach results in sabotage and he never lasts on the job.It happened at Chelsea recently when player-revolt against a Coach led to poor results and had to be sacked. Anytime a player scores a goal and runs to hug the Coach,It tells the cordiality that exits between them.The bad blood that was existing between Akwasi Appiah and the Ayew brothers was therefore very bad.Dede would never have scored a goal and go on to hug Akwasi Appiah ,never!A good coach is also someone who exudes confidence and joy to infect the players so that even when they are playing away from home ,seeing their Coach alone causes ,adrenalin to be released to burn more glucose for more energy during the match.I see all these attributes in Avram Grant so left for me alone his contract should be extended.

It is sad that we have lowered ourselves to the point that only a white man can deliver. We must do away with this corruptible colonial mentality and embrace the new way of empowering ourselves. The bottom line is this coach is a big fish in a small pond. He doesn't want to be in Ghana but wants to make a bit of money while he waits/searches for a coaching job in europe. He's a hired gun, here for the short term. He won't develop talent and I'm sure the GFA knew that before hiring him. He's a big enough name that the European-based Ghanaian players will respect and listen to him. They won't with a local Ghanaian coach, rightfully or wrongfully.
