Essien delighted with his season form at AC Milan

Ghana midfielder Michael Essien has expressed satisfaction with his performance so far for Italian giants AC Milan.

Essien earned rave reviews for his impressive displays in last Sunday’s 1-1 draw with Inter Milan in the derby.

The former Chelsea man has been a perfect replacement for the injured Nigel de Jong and made a case to start against Udinese on Sunday.

“I am quite satisfied, I have always looked to be ready for when the Coach calls me. Now we have to remain focused on the upcoming games until Christmas,” Essien said.

The 31-year-old had to battle injuries at the start of the season and has now made six Serie A appearances including three starts.
