The maiden Fusion Games will come off at the Lizzy Sports Complex on January 2 next year with a mission to unite disabled and able-bodied persons to compete and share fun on the same platform.

Under the auspices of Emperor Gaza International Foundation (EGIF), the Fusion Games will also become an annual event that will bring together several disability and able-bodied clubs to compete in sports as soccer, basketball, ludo, draughts, cards among others.

The main launch has been scheduled for second week of December and a float through the principal streets of Accra on December 30.

“We want to drive home the need for us to live in harmony as one people irrespective of our physical status and also inculcate into the less privileged the can-do spirit.

“The fun aspect of the games will be when the disabled blend with the able to play games like bind football, deaf football, wheel basket, etc,” said Prince Charles Sackeyfio, President of EGIF.
