Ghana@Olympics: No Gold Ever

Highlights: Ghana's Olympic success in terms of medals revolves around the sports of boxing and football in which it has won four medals in total.

Its best ever result, and first ever Olympic medal, was won by boxer Clement Quartey in the 63.5kg class at the 1960 Rome Games. Bronze medals in boxing have been won by Eddie Blay [1964] and Prince Amartey [1972].

The Ghanaian football team also claimed a bronze medal at the 1992 Barcelona Games, becoming the first African nation to win an Olympic medal in football.
