“Ghana can beat Belgium at 2014 World Cup”

KV Mechelen’s Abdul Yakinu-Iddi believes the Black Stars will perform better than Belgium if the two are paired in the same group at the 2014 World Cup.

Yakinu-Iddi, who is a constant figure in the setup of the Belgian side, admits that although Belgium are a strong side, the west Africans can upset on the bigger stage.

“Belgium have a strong team with a lot of quality. On paper they have a better team than Ghana, but in football you never know. At the World Cup there are always surprises,” Yakinu-Iddi told Nieuwsbald.

The former Gomoah Fetteh Feyernoord player also added that Ghana can go far at the Mundial.
