Former South Africa international Matthew Booth has selected Black Stars goalkeeper Richard Ofori in his best XI players for the 2019/20 ABSA Premier League season.
The Sundowns star named the 26-year-old in post ahead of Daniel Akpeyi following the former's impressive season so far, conceding just 17 goals with only Mamelodi Sundowns having given away fewer goals with 15 strikes against them.
His teammate Rushine De Reuck and Cardoso were also selected at the heart of defence with Frosler and Chippa United’s Tercious Malepe playing at the right and left side of defence respectively.
Sundowns Andile Jali, Lebogang Manyama and Dean Furman are the three midfielders while Serbian forward Samir Nukovic, Themba Zwane and Gabadinho Mhango play upfront.
Ofori has kept an impressive 10 clean sheets in 24 matches and is only one behind SuperSport United’s Ronwen Williams who tops the table with 11.
His impressive displays have earned him a nomination for 2019/20 South Africa Premier League Best Player award.
He has been linked with a summer move to several clubs including Belgian Pro Jupiler League side Gent as well as Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns in the ABSA Premier League.
