The Black Stars are in action this afternoon against Mauritania at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The game comes three days after Stars crowned their 2019 AFCON qualification campaign with a 1-0 victory over the Harambee Stars of Kenya.
Coach Kwesi Appiah is expected to use the match as an audition for some fringe players to stake a claim for the spots in the squad for the 2019 AFCON.
Kotoko trio Kwame Bonsu, Amos Frimpong and Felix Annan are expected to feature in the game whereas Inter Milan midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah is the only invited player not available for selection.
After a stellar performance in his debut game, Caleb Ekuban is in contention for his first start for the Black Stars and so is Alhassan Wakaso who happens to be the junior brother of Mubarak Wakaso.
Like Ghana, the Lions of Chinguetti as the Mauritania team is known have also qualified for the tournament and will use this game as the first of many preparatory matches they hope to play ahead of the AFCON.
