US based Dominic Nana Yaw Oduro has expressed optimism that the Black Stars will beat the USA national team again despite the threat they would pose at the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
Oduro, 28, who now plays for Columbus Crew in Major League Soccer, is optimistic that Ghana would go beyond the group stage following the tough draw that pitted the Black Stars against Germany, Portugal and USA.
‘’We’ve have beaten them twice already, 2006 and 2010 in this competition and so I don’t think nothing is going to stop us from doing it the third time,” Oduro told Accra basde Asempa FM.
He continued: “I’ve played with majority of them in MLS and when I compared player quality we are far ahead. Just that they are hardworking, determined and never give up easy, but we also got the experience.
Oduro who made his international Ghana debut against Chile on 29th February 2012 at the PPL Park Chester, Pennsylvania, added, amid a personal plea to Black Stars helmsman, Kwesi Appiah: “There are a lot of Ghanaians doing marvelously well in the MLS, and we will be happy if the coach casts his net wider.”
