Ghanaian striker Malik Abubakari has opened up about the influence of Brazilian legends Ronaldinho and Ronaldo Nazario on his football career, following his recent move to Danish side Lyngby Boldklub.
In an interview with his new club, Abubakari revealed how the two Brazilian icons inspired him during his formative years.
“I used to watch a lot of players. There was always one or two that used to inspire me. That’s Ronaldinho and Ronaldo; the Brazilian Ronaldo,” he said.
Abubakari completed his transfer to Lyngby Boldklub on Wednesday, August 7, signing a three-year contract with the club.
The forward, who was released from his contract with Malmö FF, will be with Lyngby Boldklub until the summer of 2027.
Lyngby Boldklub officially announced the signing, highlighting Abubakari’s addition to their attacking lineup.
"Lyngby Boldklub strengthens the offensive with the 24-year-old Ghanaian Malik Abubakari. The striker has been released from his contract with Malmö FF and joins Lyngby Boldklub on a 3-year contract," the statement read.
