Ghana coach Avram Grant says his personal friend is Los Angeles Lakers Kobe Bean Bryant and wants his players to replicate his committed training methods which has made him a basketball legend.
The former Chelsea manager says Bryant, who recently announced his retirement, always had extra training which made him a great baller.
Grant says players of the Black Stars must emulate his style to be able to reach the top.
“I like Bryant because he’s the type of player who always wants to improve upon his performance," the Ghana coach Avram Grant said during Monday's press conference.
“I had the chance to listen to his colleagues who said Kobe is the type of player who would like to train two hours before and two hours after training sessions, and that is why his performance is always exceptional.
“I believe in players who have a positive attitude to play. I became friend with Kobe because he’s one of the few NBA players who follow everything about football and he used to follow me closely in one of the teams that I coached,” he added.
The 17-time All-Star, 15-time member of the All-NBA Team, and 12-time member of the All-Defensive team has announced that he would retire after this season.
