Hearts of Oak fans might be habouring fears of the club being relegated from the Ghanaian top flight for the first time in their history, but those fears have been allayed by Asante Kotoko General Manager Samuel Opoku Nti who believes that the Phobians, as well as Asante Kotoko can never be relegated from the league.
The two most supported clubs in Ghana have endured a torrent season having to battle to stay afloat the relegation pit, but the two are still unsafe with five matches remaining till the end of the season.
Hearts of Oak slipped further to the relegation zone as they were dealt a 2-1 defeat by arch rivals Asante Kotoko on Sunday in Accra. But Samuel Opoku Nti who guided the Porcupines to victory over Hearts of Oak in the Super Clash on Sunday believes that the Phobians will beat the drop despite their current predicament.
"You must understand this...Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko can never be relegated", Opoku Nti told Accra-based Atinka FM
"I believe that Hearts will bounce back and they surely will do because football is full of uncertainties and especially with big clubs like Hearts, you know they'll sail through",
"There is no way Hearts will be relegated and if they do, then may be it is a destiny".
The loss by Hearts have pushed them further down the league log and they are currently languishing at the 15th position while Kotoko has leaped into the eight position.
