Administrative Manager for Accra Hearts of Oak Hackman Aidoo says he is surprised with the ruling of the Player Status Committee regarding player Dominic Eshun after the DC asked the player to return to his parent club Karela FC to end his contract.
Dominic Eshun, according to the Player Status Committee, was illegally signed by Hearts late November last year, hence the ruling that the player returns to the Aiyinase club as he still has a running contract with them.
But Hackman Aidoo insists Karela United didn’t do the right thing when the player was signing the contract.
“I’m surprised the Player Status Committee has ruled that Dominic Eshun should return to Karela” He told Sikka FM.
“When they met all the parties it was clear though the boy was a minor at the time of signing he signed without a witness which isn’t normal.
Hackman Aidoo also described the decision of the committee as strange.
“What’s the use in normalizing our football if minors sign contracts without witnesses?
“Naa Odofoley raised concerns about the fact that Dominic Eshun was a minor and shouldn’t be signing contracts without witnesses. The decision is strange,” he added.
Hackman argues that since Eshun signed the contract as a minor, it was not in breach of any contract despite having a contract with Karela FC.
