Hibernian manager Neil Lennon has confirmed that Ghana winger Thomas Agyepong is joining his outfit on loan from Manchester City.
The 21-year-old was reported to have agreed a loan switch to the Scottish side earlier last month, but the deal was held up by the wait for paperwork.
However, Lennon said the 21-year-old winger has already undergone a medical and will be arriving at the club in the coming days.
“We are just waiting on the paperwork as Thomas [Agyepong] has had his medical,” Lennon said. “He’ll be with us on a year’s loan.
“He’s very similar to Brandon [Barker], good with both feet, quick, good end product. He’s 21 years old, so he fits the profile.”
Lennon had some doubts about Agyepong’s fitness, with the winger’s time at NAC Breda interrupted by injury problems, but having passed a medical, it is now just a matter of time before the speedy Ghanaian heads to Edinburgh for the third loan club of his City career.
