Ghana international Kwadwo Asamoah says he is gaining more confidence in his game as a result of recent run of “workouts” for Italian champions Juventus.
The 28-year-old is in his 5th season after joining the side in summer 2012 and has featured in under 100 league games not because of his performance but recurring injuries.
He managed a total of 7 and 11 games in the 2014/15 and 2015/16 seasons respectively as a result of injury layoffs but has so far featured in a dozen after gaining full recovery this term.
Asamoah was outstanding for Juventus in their 1-0 win over Sampdoria last weekend, a game he was defensively solid and same in attack. He provided the assist for Cuadrado to score in the 7th minute.
“I am happy with this continuity of workouts that I’m finding right now, because it gives me the strength, more confidence and also the confidence that was missing before,” he told Sky Italia.
The Black Stars midfielder could be set for a contract extension with the Bianconeri, reports have suggested.
Kwadwo Asamoah was extended an invitation for Ghana’s outing at the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon but declined in order to fight for his place in the Juventus set-up.
