Aspiring chairman of the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA), Kudjoe Fianoo has said his decision to contest for the position was not motivated by a negative agenda against the Ghana Football Association (GFA).
According to Fianoo, some people have been reading negative meanings into his decision to go for the chairmanship of GHALCA, but stated that he has no such an agenda against the GFA as being perceived.
Speaking in an interview, Fianoo said, “I cannot disturb anybody at the GFA. I have no such intention. I think those who are making those assertions can best tell the whole world what is at the GFA for me to disturb them.
“I dont even need GHALCA to disturb the GFA. I can disturb anywhere so where from these negative assertions?” He stated.
He said, there was no need to “hero worship” anybody adding that what is wrong must be criticized so that the necessary corrections can be made.
He also dismissed any rumours of sabotage against him saying “they may attempt to sabotage me but they will not succeed. I have done the necessary consultations and i know i am capable of winning”.
According to Fianoo, he has informed the FA President about his intentions to contest for the post and sees no need for any attempt to sabotage him.
He noted that, those who are likely to compete with him do not have the requisite track record to beat him.
“They should tell me what they have done for GHALCA in the past years. We will put our records down for comparison.” He stated.
