Ghana defender Abdul Kadiri Mohammed has said he wants to make it difficult for Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah to ignore him in their call-ups, hence his recent explosive performance.
Mohammed has been a regular starter for Thorsten Finks’ side in the Austrian Bundesliga and has helped his club Austrian Wien to sit 5th on the league table.
Touching on his form in an interview with Class Sports, the Austrian-based defender said: “The Austrian league is a very competitive one and I thank the manager for reposing a lot of confidence in me by giving me games. I try to give off my best in every game as I want to make it very difficult for my club coach and that of the Black Stars (Kwasi Appiah) to ignore my effort.”
“I have big ambitions as a player and every match day gives me a fine opportunity to let the world know what I can also do,” he added.
The Austrian football association has opened a link for fans to vote for the league’s player of the year and fans are encouraged to visit http://mobil.krone.at/540322 to vote for Mohammed to win the top gong award.
