Inaki Williams on target in Athletic Bilbao's 2-2 stalemate with Deportivo

Spanish-born Ghanaian striker Inaki Williams scored an intelligent goal in his side's 2-2 stalemate with Deportivo La Coruna in the Spanish La Liga on Sunday afternoon.

Williams shot his side ahead on the 59th minute in what looked like a winner for the visitors but the home side restored parity before the end of the game.

Williams threw the entire Estadio Municipal de Riazor into total silence with his strike with hopes of stealing all the three points from the game.

Susaeta drew first blood for Bilbao under a minute after he was put through by Aritz Aduriz but the home side leveled the scores through Adrian 10 minutes before the break.

Athletico Bilbao returned from the break with renewed energy fetching the lead through the Ghanaian forward but the home side fought back to redeem a point in the game when Shar tapped in a corner kick.

Williams has been a major transfer target for top clubs ahead of the January transfer and could leave Bilbao despite renewing his contract some months back.

The Ghanaian born has played for the junior national teams of the Spain but is yet to feature for the senior side, making him eligible to play for the Black Stars if invited.
