The founder of Alabaster International Ministry, Prophet Kofi Oduro, has praised former Black Starlets manager Laryea Kingston for stepping down from his role as manager for the Ghana U-17.

Kofi Oduro holds that Laryea's act shows courage and believes it is a good act of leadership to step aside after failing an assignment.

Addressing his congregants during a church sermon, he mentioned that the former Black Stars player has earned his respect.

"Recently one of the teams performed badly and their coach resigned. I respect that young man. When you go on an assignment and you fail, it's only right that you resign to pave the way for someone else. It shows courage."

Laryea Kingston resigned from his role as Starlets manager after his team lost 2-1 in their semi-final game to Burkina Faso in the WAFU Zone B U-17 championship.

The result meant Ghana has failed to secure a spot for the 2025 U-17 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), which was the manager's ultimate goal.
