Former Chairman of the Ghana Football Association Lepowura Alhaji M.N.D Jawula has expressed shock at the reaction from the technical directorate of the GFA.

The FA technical directorate has reacted angrily to comments he ( Jawula) made about the need to beef up the Black Stars technical bench.

The CAF and FIFA instructor told the Graphic Sports on Tuesday that it will not be out of place if the GFA appoints another technical brain to aid Akwasi Appiah at next year’s World Cup in Brazil.

The comments has received backlash from GFA technical Director Francis Oti Akenteng who claims that the call was out of place.

Lepowura M.N.D Jawula told XYZ Sports that Oti Akenteng”s response is surprising and distasteful.

“I only asked for a top technical support that’s all I said,” Jawula told XYZ Sports.

“If people have discussed technical directorship and they want to equate it, that’s up to them but I have asked for a clear technical support for Akwasi Appiah that would help him to succeed’

“I think I am competent in certain fields of human endeavor but if I am going into any event and know the level is beyond me there’s no problem seeking for assistance in order to excel”

“People take up second degree from reality and that is up to them”.

“I heard Oti Akenteng surprisingly and arrogantly saying "we won’t agree, we are not going to get there" and I was so shocked in his response to the issue.

“I have been there before, I have been serving the GFA, CAF and FIFA for close to two decades and as a Ghanaian if I have something to offer I just offer it without any interest whatsoever and it’s as simple as that.

“I have seen it all in this job. I have commissioned matches and attended tournaments and knows what it takes to perform well in competitions of this nature.

“If the FA in its wisdom thinks they don’t need it that’s up to them,” Aljaji said.
