Ex-Ghana striker Joetex Frimpong has set up a Football Academy based in Minna, Nigeria to help youngsters in the locality to begin a career.

The former FC Lucerne player has turned in football administration since hanging up his boots due to recurring injuries.

He runs the Frimpong Academy in partnership top Swiss Sports Agency, 4Sports & Entertainment AG.

After close to a year, two of its players are being considered by Nigerian Premier League giants Enyimba FC.

Daniel Frimpong, an attacker, who is Joetex’s younger brother, and defensive midfielder Sadick Abdulrazak are inching closer to a deal.

The duo has impressed the Enyimba technical team after arriving in the first week of December.

‘It’s a good development that these young lads are training with a great African team like Enyimba. I hope they make the grade at Enyimba,” Joetex said to SuperSport.com.

In October this year, he took charge of the coaching duties with the Under-12 team of Young Boys.
