69392115 was once again the hero for Crystal Palace as his second half strike secured victory against Brighton on Saturday.

Ayew proved his mettle in the shirt of the Eagles again as he earned the London-based side another victory with a well taken goal.

Roy Hodgson’s side started the game on the front foot and nearly broke the deadlock but Christian Benteke wasted a glorious opportunity as his miscue close shot went wide.

Palace grabbed the winning goal against the round of play in the 70th minute as Benteke found Ayew on the edge of the box with a nice pass.

Benteke drove inside and before playing a cracking little reverse ball into Ayew. It was not the best finish in the world from the Ghana international as his low shot deflected off Brighton goalkeeper Matt Ryan legs into the far corner.

Wilfred Zaha went close to doubling Palace’s tally in the dying embers but his close range strike hit the upright.

Ayew’s goal secured the three points for the visitors which was their first ever win against Brighton at the Amex.

Ayew has scored 6 goals and tallied 1 assist in 27 league games.
