Ghana international Kamaldeen Sulemana and Southampton will feature in the English Premier League next season after securing promotion to the top flight at the expense of Leeds United.

The Saints will join Leicester City and Ipswich Town as the three teams to have secured promotion to the top flight.

Southampton defeated Leeds United 1-0 in the Championship Playoffs final at Wembley Stadium on Sunday to make a quick return to the Premier League.

England international Adam Armstrong fired home the opening goal after just 24 minutes into the game as they went to the halftime break with the advantage.

And with no additional goal, Southampton cruised to a narrow win to secure promotion back to the Premier League.

Although the Black Stars winger was an unused substitute in the much-anticipated clash, his contribution to the club toward promotion cannot be overlooked.

The 22-year-old Ghanaian attacker was limited to just 26 appearances in the Championship due to injury setbacks, providing three assists across the period.

Sulemana joined the Saints in January 2023 from Stade Rennes, signing a contract that will keep him at the club until 2027.
