Defeated Karela United coach Johnson Smith has urged Asante Kotoko to strengthen their squad for the CAF Champions League campaign.
Asante Kotoko managed to win 4-1 on penalties against the Aiyinase side after a 1-1 stalemate in regulation time.
And despite losing, the Karela United manager believes Kotoko have a lot of work to do to compete in the Champions League.
“They have a good side but they will need to strengthen the side to be better for the Champions League. It’s a tough competition,” he said.
