Kojo Bonsu, publisher of Agoo Magazine is getting sued by a US company for the theft of its intellectual property related to his counterfeiting of the US company's flooring products for use at the Ghana Jubilee events in 2007.

Warrants are being sought for the arrest of Mr. Bonsu in the United Kingdom and in the United States, where he travels frequently. The US company is seeking $1million in damages for the creation of a counterfeit tool to produce its proprietary flooring systems for use at the Jubilee event Ghana as One, held in 2007. Suits are expected to be filed against Agoo Media and Mr. Bonsu personally in Ghana, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

Mr. Bonsu is at risk of both civil and criminal penalties internationally for this fraud and the company has advised that it will aggressively pursue Kojo Bonsu. Additional claims may be filed against ministers in the Ghana government who were complicit in funding and arranging for the purchase of the counterfeit material from china in 2007. Import duties were never paid, opening Mr. Bonsu up to additional legal troubles in Ghana, including fines and potential criminal proceedings.
