Chief Executive Officer of Asante Kotoko George Amoako has insisted the club is bigger than Songne Yacouba following the striker’s quest to leave.
The Porcupine Warriors on Monday announced they have opened negotiations with Zambian giant Zesco United for the sale of their top marksman Songne Yacouba after the player insisted the club must sell him.
Reacting to the news, Chief Executive Officer of Asante Kotoko George Amoako insisted he is not bothered about losing the player, vowing to bring someone better than him.
“No player is bigger than Asante Kotoko, Yacouba or no Yacouba Kotoko is still Kotoko,” he told Kessben FM Sports
“What I want to tell the fans is, they should come and cheer the team. They will get a better Yacouba in the squad in no time. They should mark it on the wall.”
Kotoko are likely to lose key members of their squad after the club announced the beginning of negotiations with the Zambians club.
